Hi everyone. Can anyone out there give me some advice, or have they had the same problem as me. I bought a new Disco 3 two months ago and love it. The only gripe I have is that the reception on the audio system is rubbish. I know this is not a particularly great problem in the scheme of things but it really does niggle. Yes I only have the base unit but in a vehicle like this it should work. My old Defender TD5 radio had no reception problems.
The dealership is not that forthcoming at the moment so may need to go direct to Land Rover. Anyone got any good e mail addresses for them?
Any help advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Never had a reception problem myself.
Regarding a contact. When I have had difficulty I use the LR customer care number
08705 000 500
Usually gets results, good luck.

I had exactly the same problem. I could only get radio 2 clearly unless I was close to certain areas. It was never resolved but I did hear that the quality of the head unit varies according to the amount that LR will pay the supplier (Alpine?) on a monthly basis. Things to get checked are the aerial connection to the head unit and the connection in the rear headlining to the aerial in the window.
When I took mine back they kindly tuned it into the local commercial FM and said "look, it's fine".
Resolved as one of many major and minor issues by a car swap.

Same with mine, had the head unit replaced by dealer. New one: FM will drop out completely for a second when poor reception is there. Told the best the reception will be without diversity antenna. I have had 2 D3's with the base stereo and never had any problems with FM reception, push the dealer to change the unit then check aerial etc. 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto
