There are some potential thoughts but it has not been done yet. Changing the oil the normal way does leave oil in the TC and an inconsequential amount in the oil cooler system, but with additional changes more and more is refreshed.

If you can connect both pipes on the "cold" side of the cooler, run the engine until the oil is up to 70c, switch engine off, start dialysis m/c, when fresh cool oil reaches the cooler valve it will close, job done
May need an extra valve fitting in the dialysis m/c to stop oil circulating until 70c is reached, and return pipe must be capable of carrying hot oil.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Is the thermostat mechanically activated, or is it electronically controlled?
If its mechanical, and I don't know how tight the access is, but it should be simple to build a clamp to attach a heating element with a thermocouple attached to turn it on and off. Plastic extruders have all sorts of tubular heating elements that go in all sorts of strange places. These are made to order. The thermocouple could be a cheap one or even one from a water heater that typically can be set to turn off a bit below 100c. Strap the device to the thermostat area with an already warm transmission, turn the device on, the thermostat will stay open, then do your flushing.
Do Land Rover or does ZF make such a service device? They might ...
Also, just curious, but what is the expected temperature of the water cooling fluids when the motor is in warm conditions and working hard?

Mastora in Alnwick (my nearest independent) posted earlier this week that they had just taken delivery of the Wynn's flush machine, and we're offering the 8-speed "flush"....I assume the Wynns one still doesn't do a true "flush" but more of an oil change ?"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
