D4 vibrates at junctions!!
driven automatics for years. Just got my 2010 plate D4 HSE. typically i would expect car to idle happily with foot on brake and car in D. however when pulling up at lights/junctions with foot on brake and in D the car vibrates noticeably and the engine note drops slightly. Almost like the car is not going into neutral fully.....
I know that ideally you should put car in N when stationary but if you're at a junctions that's not always practical.
Any suggestions anyone whether this is causing damage to the car. As said in my last car the car just happily idled.Loving my D4 HSE -MY10......!!!!

I had this a while ago with my D4, turned out to be the exhaust pipe vibrating against the frame of the car - I only felt the problem when the car was idling or when I was setting off from standstill. I believe the problem area was located somewhere underneath the driver seat and the pipe just needed a slight relocation - been fine since.

Hi Pugrot..
sorry for the long reply time - no I complained to LR and they gave me 3 same year/models off their forecourt to test drive - all did the same - apparently its a commercial vehicle in disguise so not as refined as my Jag or the RR..! Just encourages me to not sit with the car in drive at lights. [/quote]Loving my D4 HSE -MY10......!!!!
