vibration between 1900 & 2000 rpm under load

have had a search and not quite nailed this from forum info

symptom of (slight, but annoying) transient vibration discernible through steering wheel and seat of pants)
most noticeable under gentle acceleration uphill

any pointers chaps ?

Hi,

Sorry to bring this thread back but have you managed to get this sorted?
I have the exact same issue with slight vibration and whining around 2000 rpm. Travel speed is not a factor as this happens at any speed, any gear and only around the 2000 rev mark. It does not happen while reeving the engine in Neutral or Parking.

I had this on my D4 when I bought it.

Wasn't there on a test drive but was evident when collecting.

Turns out the garage had replaced all four tyres but failed to balance them.

First check I would do is to see if your wheels are balanced.
 Last of the D4 HSE...

The wheels are indeed balanced and I'm quite sure they have nothing to do with this. The vibration is not related to the wheels speed but it has to do with the engine revs.

Check the engine pneumatic mount and the rear shaft middle bearing...
