Hi
I opened a new thread today asking about LED upgrade for my fog lights, but while this forum is great it also is a minefield with other members suggestions. While i appreciate all the help it is still confusing which ones are any good.
Steve can you give a straight answer. D3 HSE

Nice list, I could have used that a few weeks ago trying to figure out what on earth all my bulbs were... yes I should have read the manual, but that seemed unnatural.....
Open the floor up here, what upgrade lights would you guys use for the puddle lamps, I can't decide between the xenon look type or the bright white.

I have just fitted Osram DRL/Foglight set bought from Advanced Factors (excellent service from Steve) and thoroughly recommend them. Brilliant white DRL light and a wide, very flat beam when used as fog lights. You also have the option to wire them up to the cornering lights if you have them or the direction indicators if you do not to provide extra illumination when cornering at night.
They are a straight replacement for the standard LR foglights, although I did need to remove around 2 mm from each side of D4 mounts to make room for the metal bracket on the lights. You can fit the DRL control unit in the space behind the LH headlight if you remove the mounting brackets from the unit and locate it in place with the supplied 3M sticky pad. There is also room to coil the excess DRL cable in the same cubby hole.
For the ignition feed, I used a mini-fuse piggy-back connector and fly lead (also supplied separately by Steve at AF) and plugged it into the fuse holder for the fuel pump (F1?), which switches off the moment that the ignition is switched off, rather than the usual minute or so delay experienced on the other circuits.
The Osram lights are not cheap but, in my opinion, they are worth the money and do enhance my MY12 D4.

They're the only yellow ones left on mine too, isn't the fog light the same build though?
H8 on the cornering lights, to be fair you will get an H11 in there but to do so you will have to take a knife to the lugs to do so so I can't recommend that.
There are H8 & H11 LED versions available, I don't order them as types I have viewed in the past have no beam pattern.
H11 for fog lamps, same answer, no LED unless you want to do the DRL kit
On next months bulb order I will get some samples for testing to see if they have got any better!Paul Redding

Am I being really stupid but I can not get the interior LED lights to work
Works with normal bulbs and then I plug the LEDs in using the adapter and nothing! I have tried them aroubd both ways as I know LEDs need the positive to be correct etc.
Any ideas??07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Are you pushing them all the way in, you need to be firm
Failing that you could have a dodgy one or two, but I doubt that.
Try refitting them and making sure they are firmly pushed in, don't be shy
