BIzarely mayonaise works well on stickers! Cover in mayo leave for a while then should be easier to remove. ....
 Upgrades so far - , rear ladder from prospeed , front and rear light guards G4 style roof rack and 4 lightforce spots on the rack! Xenon lights

The active ingredient is the vinegar the rest is the thickener that makes it stick. Though a bit slow for me, I used White spirit for the same task without problem and because I always have some around, no cost.

Use petrol or another solvent to get the glue off,
start with scraping off the foamy bits first, then
the petrol, or solvent and preferrably outdoors or
in a very well ventilated srea

If the car is a financial mill stone then a couple of litres of petrol and a match but if it's a goodn then WD40 as most people have some. Then move on to the other stuff as the chance is you would have to go out and buy it.
