Depends on how it's done.

The original method involved flashing the IPAC with a later version of software where a "Lights on" indicator had replaced a FBH light. This means when the lights are on a red FBH light comes on which to some outweighed the benefit of the clock.

If the update is done with an IID tool then there is an option to use a tweaked version that doesn't put the light on Thumbs Up

Got the COD with the red light on, just got to pluck up the courage to do the change to kill the red light with the IID BT.

It may re-enable the low coolant warning.

It was written out as part of the Q034/036 enhancement program, and the latest IPC software may enable the warning. If it does, the low coolant message will be displayed and (providing the level is OK) require a new bottle to repair Thumbs Up

If it does throw up issues s'pose it's just a case of restore the original settings for that ECU?

If it's already had a bottle, you should be fine.

Del, I believe the new software activates it, and even putting the old software back on leaves it activated... If you have no warning with your current COD, you'll be fine too Thumbs Up

It's a clock in your kind of sight. Plus it's visible when you wear polarising sunglasses. Oh, and it's also still there when you're on the phone. COD upgrade is well worth it. Thumbs Up

I thought the same. But I updated mine with the clock because I could. Now, I couldn't live without it

I had it done. Never go back either. Should have been there from day one. Seems such a minor thing but I like it.

My big bug bear is that the clock in the hifi vanished when u were on the phone. As I don't habitually wear a watch it was a complete PITA when working out the ETA with the person I was speaking to.
