Anyone know what the black line along the horizontal road in the above image means? Never seen this before!
Thx

It generally means that a lane or both lanes are closed.
If you zoom out, you'll get a black circle (this is from memory) at the beginning and end of the black line (where the closed road / lane starts /ends). If you press your finger on the start or end circle you'll get a little target in the centre of the screen. Press again and the sat nat target will move over the circle and brief details will apear at the top of the screen along with an [info] button. Press this and it'll tell you why it's closed (accident, roadworks etc). D3 HSE V8...

Thanks Mossy for the explanation. I'll try zooming out next time I see this. It makes sense as there did appear to be roadworks in the area, although I had travelled along one of the 'black' roads approaching this roundabout earlier in the day and there were no roadworks, so I guess the TMC data is unreliable (as usual!)
THanks to others for the idiots guide to posting piccies

TMC is a bit hit 'n' miss. If you were under navigation, with Dynamic Navigation selected in the options bit, and your planned journey would have taken you down via the blocked or reduced road, the TMC would have announced this.
"There is a reduced road ahead". Dynamic naviagtion may have offered you a detour. [May have ]
I just go with my instinct and consider all info advisory. D3 HSE V8...

A black line = Closed Road In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
