LED side lights.
I've just fitted some LED replacements for the standard 501 bulbs. The new LED'S are lots brighter and whiter.
What do you think?

What's the bottom pic?
Ah, it's changed. It was some scary looking wires.

They were actually Ebay specials at £4 per pair delivered. They are 3 Watt CREE much like the AF ones.
I'm pleased with the effect though.

I've been a fan of LEDs for a number of years, tbh since I was a boy! I have switch all lights in my disco to LEDs.
eBay has some great offers on LEDs, all kinds, however it comes with a warning, some of the LEDs are not quality controlled as they should, and when you install a led like replacing the side lights, you have to check it often, as in many cases some of the LEDs will fail within the LED cluster, by either blinking or total failure.
The last thing you want is to be driving around with a blinking side light!
It is best to get it from a known supplier, even if costs a bit more, like our sponsors.
My two cents worth!

I agree totally. I've use this particular brand before in my V6 Freelander. They lasted the 3 years I had her.
I'll monitor all lights weekly, as I always do.
Thanks for your input.
