Timing belt all done, right chuffed

Not chuffed that Ive done the belts but chuffed that the belt I removed was nearly brand new along with the idler pulleys and best of all the oil pump is the new style and dated 2012.
This is what happens when you buy a car with diddly squat paperwork!
Still it wasnt hard or dear.
Worst bit was having to go to halfords to buy some female torx sockets as I had left mine at work, E12 is the size you need along with 2 x 6mm drill bits for the cam timing.

I read Mikeys thread to give me an idea of what was involved and to be honest Ive done harder ones, it was quite simple, had to replace both fan belt tensioners as running out of line and this was creating a squeal.
The worst bits? getting viscous fan undone and its was cold out and for some reason my left foot froze and I was gagging for a pee, but wanted to finish the job first!

Started at 10 am ish, realised needed E12 socket, strip out of work gear, quick scrub up then get in the 90 and rattle my way to halfords, back again and swap clothes again, all tools away by 14.15 hours, I reckon 3 hours on the motor, I should think easy to get down to 2 hours once a few done
I used to do a few cambelts a few years ago and used to work on cutting the job time in half, pretty much the same at work now on the trucks, tractor unit replace clutch, my best time so far 1 hr 15mins, beat it the other day 1 hr 5 mins, DAF XF105F model, book time 3.75 hrs.
Havent done the rear belt yet, so thats another fun thing to look forward to, maybe when it warms up a bit!

If the belt, idler pulleys and oil pump look new it's highly likely the rear belt has been changed as well Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
