Guys,
In case you haven't heard, Ford has decided to sell of the rest of it's premium brands to the highest bidder after already selling Aston Martin recently.
I'm a bit concerned that our beloved brand may be bought up by someone who will dilute it's core character

Well it's news to me about Volvo!
The report does say that it's a good time to offload which must mean it's a good time to buy too I assume. Lets hope a consortium of LR geeks like ourselves get stuck in and buy the company so that we can all rest easy again.
The LR name is so much more than just branding, there are millions of fans all over the world and their product range is the best it's ever been. I think there is alot going for LR at the moment so all we need is a buyer with his heart in the right place.  FFRR 2017 4.4SDV8 Autobiography. Cost so much I must be mad!

I completely agree with fisherman. Land Rovers of new are some of the best I've ever seen and we've got to rely on a person or persons who can see it as something more than an investment.
Volvo's for sale too?! Let's hope they cancel production of this new fangled V70 and keep to the traditional 'box' styling of what a Volvo estate should be  2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

I don't believe that it has been confirmed by Ford that Volvo are included . There was some early press speculation that all of PAG was up and this has led to confusion. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Ford are playing the Govt and unions off against each other.
They want the govt to subsidise them in some way to keep LR, Rolls and Jags under the Ford flag
