Wire colour code for rear lights
I have treated myself to a pair of rear bumper reflector replacements off fleabay. These are the ones with led's and illuminate with the tail lights and brake lights.
So I made myself a simple wiring harness and installed them in the rear bumper, running the wires to the n/s rear quarter, so that I could take advantage of the rubber cables inlets. All has gone well, just need to connect into the tail light / brake light wires and earth. The earth was easy. but as far as identifying the wire colours in the wire harness for the tail and brake - I am struggling. Spent 1/2 hour with the multimeter on the plugs in the area but to no avail.
Can anyone help and identify the wire colours I need please.
its a 2011 D4 GS
Thanks

don't want to put a dampener on you but I bought some of these a while back. Mine would not act as reflectors only lights and the view on here was they would probably be an MOT failure and might cause insurance problems due to the lack of rear reflectors
Yours might be fine but just a warning Morris Dancers: Drinkers with A Dance Problem

I thought about stocking these, but for one problem, how have you overcome the statutory requirement for reflectors? Or do your ones have these built in?Paul Redding

Robbie - thanks for the diagram - just what I needed.
I have to admit though, I just rushed outside with a torch to see if they are reflectors as well as lights - and yes, they are also reflectors. I went for the Range Rover Sport red ones and not the clear or smoked that I have seen.
Thanks for all the help

No problem.
Do you have a link to the bay so we can see what you have ordered?
