Just saying hi!
Hi,
Been lurking for a couple of weeks! I picked up a loaded HSE V8 (everything except HD and DVD RES) about 2 weeks ago. So far no problems at all and i am loving the car. Already done 2000km!! I am in Calgary and i am going on the dealership off roading day this sunday. Cant wait.
Just for info i am British. moved to Calgary about a year ago.
Good to meet "ya all".'10 LR4 Nara Bronze V8 HSE + everything
Honda Odyssey 2010 Touring
Traded my '03 Disco (Vienna Green) for an '06 LR3 (Java Black w/tan interior) a month ago and am delighted with Rolly the Rover. Usual small moans about seats. Working through the manual and Tips and Tricks but am not going to pass the course first time!
Had good experience with the local dealer and the Disco (Calgary Land Rover) though wish that Canadian dealers did not put Wranglers on as standard. Had these on the Disco and changed to Michelins for on-road---what a difference! Tried to get Calgary LR to put Pirelli Scorpions on and accept the cash difference but no deal. Apparently once tyres are installed thay count as "used" even if the car hasn't been moved out of the showroom. Sheesh!Good Judgement is the result of Experience which is the result of Bad Judgement.

I don't know what goodies you want.......but you might start with your Land Rover dealer where you bought the vehicle. If they are installed when the vehicle is purchased, they will have the same warranty. You might negotiate this with your dealer since you just got the car. 8)'06 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Heavy Duty package, Satellite Radio, Luxury Package

Off Road goodies? I have done a lot of research on the topic and might give you some pointers of that is what you are looking for.
Hey man, the biggest thing I am looking for is a roof rack. I think British Atlantic has them, but I was hoping for a more local source where I don't have to pay out the ass for shipping. After the roof rack it will probably be a bull bar.

Yeah, the Hannibal rack I have was pretty expensive to ship (about $400), but it's been a fantastic roof rack for me.
There are a couple of others. The Yakima (also sold by British Pacific) is available everywhere, and here in SoCal there is a really nice one by a new fabricator called Urban Off Road

Here is a shot of my Hannibal with wife and son on board
