My grill mod
Well I managed to get hold of a D4 grill via PagunUK and have done the black grill mod, Mark (Russells son) was keen to get involved and helped dismantle prime paint and reassemble the grill, I fitted it this morning and am please with the result.

Am I allowed to prefer the first picture, despite the effort that has gone into the second?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

I prefer the first, but maybe if you lost the chrome wing mirrors on the second it would ease it a bit Lord Discotres of Glencoe

Well if it makes you feel any better Russell I prefer the black version!
Be aware, the comments you are getting are all from middle aged men suffering from various stages of midlife crisis. They like shiny cars, shiny girls and shiny watches.

Excuse me, I doubt Russell is any spring chicken with the age of his children, plus he's got a caravan and they are for the elderly Lord Discotres of Glencoe

Both look good, but agree with DT, you'd need to lose the chrome mirror caps.
But more importantly, what colour will the side vents & wheels be.
If they're siver, then I'd stick with silver grill - but if black, then def the black grill.
In other words a black grill needs the full black package to work best - my opinion only though.
at least it keeps the lad off the streets ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
