Also when they were apart i tried some 20" genuine landrover split rims on that i had for my range rover, cannot decide if i like them enough to pay for a full refurb and set of new tyres?? But they are a nice rare and unusual wheel

Thanks for the concern but i am already aware of the standard crappy discovery jack (have got a stripped one somewhere in the garage). The Jack in the pics is not the disco jack, it the modified jack from my ford ranger (fitted with a locating pin in the jack pad) The winding handle is from the disco. Also there is an axle stand under the chassis rail behind the wheel.

Anyway, after a gasp of air, back on track.
Really like the 20" split rims but if you keep them black then the D4 should have more 'black pack' elements.
Failing that, get them refurbed in silver.
Just my thoughts....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
