New LR tech...
Being trialled and developed at the moment....
Smart Car...the software will self-learn from your smartphone...automatically uploading meeting times, reminders etc......it will also apparently download weather data, and set de-frost/climate functions. It will also recognise it's your phone, and adjust the seat memory etc to your position as you approach the car.
If there is any traffic delay,it will automatically message your meeting to advise of the delay.
3D instrument cluster....using eye-tracking software it will simulate a 3D effect, without the use of 3D glasses,no matter where or which angle the driver views it from.
Gesture Control.....raising your arm and moving it forward or back will open/close the sunroof and side-to-to will operate any blinds fitted.
These are apparently approx 5-6 years away from making an appearance on production cars, but are well into development.
I would imagine they will make their debut on the Full Fat and filter down.....interesting stuff, but I don't even like automatic lights or wipers,so I hope you can switch them off......
But it sounds exciting however, and it looks like your Dealership will be adding a Professor of Electrophysics to their Service team shortly "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

Let's hope they get a grown up to develop the software interface unlike the Incontrol apps Cheers Ian
