Hi after two years just noticed that the tailgate won't open with engine running, is this expected ? Peter

I'm not sure about the engine needing to be off....but the gearbox certainly needs to be in Park 
Safety reasons apparently.... "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I have a MY10 and I can open the boot with the engine running.

As has been said must be in Park MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange
