High pitch whine and battery charge fault |
|
Has anyone had a high pitch whine coming from the center counsel during acceleration? It immediatly goes away if I turn off the AC or stop accelerating. It is a new lr4 us spec. 2014. Trying to figure this out since the dealer ignores it or can't replicate it whenever the vehicle is in.
Another problem I have is that the battery charge fault warning comes on once in a while. I then have to run the vehicle a while before it will reset on a restart. Is this a alternator issue or battery type fault? Has happened during all temp conditions over the past 5 months.

Whine poss aux belt and the fault maybe because the of this the battery is not charging up...
Also the whine maybe the bearing on the alternator and hence the battery will not charge! I had a whine and found it was the alternator.........
Good luck.

Alternator would be my guess. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€
