| I've got a noise I cant' place. |

The D3 had started to make a noise from the front. Its intermittant, and I am stuggling to figure it out.
It sound like a metalic crunching, but very light. It happens when I go over a bump, but not always. It will happen when I turn left, then it sounds like a grind, but not very loud. However, it doesnt make the noise everytime I turn left, and it it happens at any speed, and at any lock, so not just full lock. It doesnt happen if I am reversing and turning. Sometime I can feel a slight vibration coming from the drivers footwell at the same time as the noise.
The noise seems to be coming from the front offside, and sometimes towards the middle of the front of the car.
I will need to get it looked at, but as this year has cost me over £1000 in repairs ans servicing, I hope it isnt the straw that breaks the camels back.
Any ideas? Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.

Front diff or wheel bearing? Just going through that myself!

The provision diagnosis is that I have a failing wheel bearing, but it will be confirmed tomorrow.  Man with no D3 anymore, but cant leave the forum....how sad.
