Air suspension.
Hi. Can anyone help with a problem I have with the air suspension on my 2005 Discovery SE. I think i'm on the right track but just need confirmation. I'm losing air I think from the near side rear shock. Have done the test that I see on you tube where I pump the air up to the off road position, then remove the fuse and measure over 36 hours from the centre of the wheel to the wheel arch. The measurements I got showed F/L & F/R 20inch and R/R, R/L were 20 3/4 inches.
After 12 hours I lost half an inch in F/L, F/R and R/R which I was told was normal, but in R/L I lost 3/4 of inch.
After 22 hours the R/L had lost another whole inch where the others stayed the same.
After 36 hours F/L was down to 16 inches, F/R 17.5 inches, R/L down to 16 inches and R/R 17.5 inches.
This has confused me slightly now as I thought the problem was the rear left shock but would this cause the others to lose this amount of air too??

Whilst leaks from the shock sir bags is possible from experience it is the least likely. Air lines, air dryer, connectors and valves are the usual culprits.
There is a lot of merit spraying anything that looks like it is part of the EAS system with soapy water to identify possible leaks.

ok thank you for that. I will give that a try and see what happens. It does seem to pump up ok when the motor is in use, its just when its sat idle for a few days the suspension seems to drop more on the rear left side than the others.
