Being Stood for A While
Would it be better to leave it in Park without parking break if I'm leaving it stood for any length of time, my BMW had a habit of the calipers sticking on after a couple of weeks.
Are these the same?
Thanks

They are fine left with the EPB on, even when left for months.

I would say *should* be fine with the EPB left on....
Hubbies has a habit of getting a bit sticky if the last time it was used before being left was on a wet day or in winter when the roads have been salted. It comes off ok with the application of a bit more power than usual or trying it in reverse and then back to drive to loosen it off.

I agree the EPB does tend to stick if it is applied wet and left over a period of time, overnight is enough for it to stick by morning, It does release with a clunk on moving forward but I dont know whay effects there may be if it were to stand for longer.

I always gently press the accelerator and it comes off automatically. Must have done it hundreds of times over the last couple of years. No problems.

Very rarely use mine, but mines auto and park on flat at home, tend to use it when parked on a hill to take strain off gearbox.
