New rear floor on disco 4 |
|
Just been reading a review of the Disco 4 in the Caravan Club tow car of the year booklet and was surprised to see that the spare wheel, according to the report, is accessible under the rear floor and that whatever you have in the back has to be removed which I assume includes the rearmost seats to get to it. Can anyone confirm this

D4 is no different to D3, for which the spare wheel winch access is in the rear, so for most (without the home made adaptor) means lifting the rear seats.

Not withstanding that the rest of that particular booklet is badly written, reports lack consistency, grammar is appalling and an understanding of what most caravanners deem important about a towcar is desperately lacking this year.

In CC towbar of the year award I find it staggering that the disco never wins the tow car of the year. Not sure if cost is included but to mark it down because you have to take some luggage out of the boot is beyond me. Where do all the other cars keep the spare, on the roof!
I think it reflects the anti large 4x4 brigade.

It won best in class this year
But you are right, I think the cost and size counts against it overall Dave
