Engine/Transmission Amber mwarning light |
|
Hi there,
I have a 62 reg Discovery HSE, and on Sunday, as I started up, the Engine/Transmission Amber warning light stayed on. I turned the engine off, and re-started, but the light remained. I was in a bit of a hurry, and drove about 30 quite rapid miles, and didn't notice any lack of performance. As the car is used mainly for slowish city driving, I wondered if it was a D.P.F. Problem ( cars done 12,000 miles). Went to my meeting, started up after about 3 hours, light still on. I drove moderately to my next meeting, light still on. After about 10 minutes, started up and yippee, light no longer there. Light did not stay on this morning.
Anyone got any ideas what happened? I may have been a bit quick trying to start on Sunday, and the preheat light may not have gone out before I pushed the starter buton, and it coughed a bit before starting. The car is still under warranty, and is coming up to it's second service.
I'd be grateful for your advice.
