Struggling to fit the flywheel locking tool |
|
Hi, I'm in the process of doing the cam belt and oil pump, got the starter off this morning after giving up in yesterday's heat, but now I am having real trouble getting the locking tool to fit.
Its the Sealey kit from AF and the issue is getting the widest part of the tool in the hole (not even got to the point of lining up the flywheel yet). It seems the tolerance is just too tight to get it in. There was some crud around the hole which I have cleaned best I can with some fine sandpaper, but access isn't great.
Has anyone any advice? Or should the tolerance just not be so close?

Cheers, good to know its a common issue, I didnt want to go mad altering the tool if I was doing something wrong.
Back in the house with a coffee and some sandpaper then.
