as the title says I am after a decent cree head torch, can anyone suggest a decent one I can buy. I have looked on ebay but there are thousands of the things and no doubt a lot of the stuff will be pants so was after a link etc to one that another person has bought and is pleased with

oh dear have I opened a can of worms
ok I want a decent cree head torch that I can use for various things, walking the dog, working in darker places etc etc, I have a very good cree torch that a chap made me off the shooting forum I go on but I now want a head torch. I would like it to use a 18650 battery if possible as I have a few decent rechargeable Panasonic ones of these that I use in my night vision kit and they last ages and I have a very good charger for these batteries

those batteries will make it a bit bulky......? it's a head torch, last thing you want is bulk....Bodsys Brake Bible
yes you have a point but I have about £60's worth of these batteries and like I say they last ages if it was in a box on the back of the head it wouldn't bother me really being a bit more bulky as long as its BRIGHT bali blue disco 4 with rear dvd's, privacy glass, pre heat system, heated steering wheel, full size spare, piano black trim, ipod cable, 20 inch wheels and i love it loads more than my TDV8 RRS, KTM 250 EXC 2 Stroke for the real off road stuff

I actually didn't have one of these So I have put my money where my mouth is and just bought one from Amazon with delivery tomorrow Don't know what I'm going to do with it as I don't go out at night, but at least I'm ready for next years trip to Chepstow
You could also look at the measly HL50 but uses 2 x AA

The LED Lenser is plastic and max 250 lumens, the Fenix is at another level with superbly finished aircraft grade aluminium all around, ask anyone who was at Chepstow what the quality of any of my Fenix torches was like, they blow you away.
Anyway I don't have an HL55......Yet BUT will do tomorrow so happy to post pictures of the quality close up to explain what I mean, also it uses 18650 batteries which were part of the spec preferred.
Only one more sleep
Can't wait for tomorrow night

Led Lenser H5 for me, can pick one up for £32, perfect for dog walking. Best combo of light weight, features and cost IMHO.
