I couldn't do without my Led Lenser H7.2R.

Adjustable brightness, rechargeable (or use batteries as normal) very bright when needed.

oh dear have I opened a can of worms Rolling with laughter

ok I want a decent cree head torch that I can use for various things, walking the dog, working in darker places etc etc, I have a very good cree torch that a chap made me off the shooting forum I go on but I now want a head torch. I would like it to use a 18650 battery if possible as I have a few decent rechargeable Panasonic ones of these that I use in my night vision kit and they last ages and I have a very good charger for these batteries

cheers shawn

yes you have a point but I have about £60's worth of these batteries and like I say they last ages if it was in a box on the back of the head it wouldn't bother me really being a bit more bulky as long as its BRIGHT Thumbs Up

For 18650 batteries I would go for the Fenix HL55 with 900 Lumens, see here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fenix-HL55-Lumen-Y...fenix+hl55

More info here: http://www.myfenix.co.uk/fenix-hl55-headlamp

I actually didn't have one of these Shocked So I have put my money where my mouth is and just bought one from Amazon with delivery tomorrow Mr. Green Don't know what I'm going to do with it as I don't go out at night, but at least I'm ready for next years trip to Chepstow Laughing

You could also look at the measly HL50 but uses 2 x AA Wink

The LED Lenser is plastic and max 250 lumens, the Fenix is at another level with superbly finished aircraft grade aluminium all around, ask anyone who was at Chepstow what the quality of any of my Fenix torches was like, they blow you away.

Anyway I don't have an HL55......Yet Sad Sad BUT will do tomorrow Mr. Green so happy to post pictures of the quality close up to explain what I mean, also it uses 18650 batteries which were part of the spec preferred.

Only one more sleep Thumbs Up

Can't wait for tomorrow night Laughing

Led Lenser H5 for me, can pick one up for £32, perfect for dog walking. Best combo of light weight, features and cost IMHO.
