| Suspension fault error message |

Last wk the error msg 'suspension fault, normal height' came on then went off when I switched the car off and back on.
Yesterday, I went to unhitch my trailer and the backend wouldnt lift up when the trailer came off. I drove off and had a few pinging noises then the light went off and the car was back up at normal height, however when I drove it later on the light came back on with the error msg.
I have had loads of problems since I bought the car last year and one thing that was replaced was the air suspension compressor.
Has anyone any ideas how to fix it and is it going to cost mega bucks, if so Im digging a big hole and putting it in it!
