Help! EGR fail
Folks - the old girl has run out of puff! I get very little power below 2K revs, then it takes off like a rocket. Fault has been diagnosed as EGR stuck open, but which one?
Does anyone know how to find out which EGR valve is stuck from the disgnostic info - is there a telltale bit of data to look for?
CheersI'm on a whisky diet. I've lost three days already.

I wouldn't worry about it and just blank them both. Problem solved. 2021 BMW iX3 Premier Edition in Carbon Black ⚡️🔌

You can tell from the codes but as above, just blank them both and forget all about the silly things.

Thanks
I did consider that option - what's the effect on fuel economy?
Also I'm paying for labour so it might be most economical to just sort out the side that's broke rather than pay to work on both..........I'm on a whisky diet. I've lost three days already.

Ok so what's the consensus then
Seriously though I tend to keep cars to original spec and don't have much confidence with mods but the strength of opinion here is really persuasive.
I'll talk to the garage tomorrow. Thanks all. I'm on a whisky diet. I've lost three days already.

Blank. Mine were done few years & many tens of thousand miles ago & not had any problems. Can't remember the mileage but had just had them both replaced, again.

Think of it as getting your appendix out. You never needed it in the first place.
Blank them and be done with it.

Never had a problem since I blanked mine using BAS kit. No change to fuel economy either. Putting 2 stroke oil in as well at concentration of 5mls per litre. She seems very happy
