Fob locks car but drivers door stays unlocked

I just opened my car door and the alarm went off, anyway after a bit of fiddling I found that when the alarm is activated to lock the car the drivers door doesn't lock but all the rest do, if you open the drivers door while all the rest are locked like I did by mistake then the alarm sounds.

Has anyone else had this issue, is the locking actuator had it or am I doing something wrong?

I am covered with warranty direct luxury care so hopefully whatever it is will be covered, unless so simple I can fix it.

Thanks

Very common fault with a how-to in the wiki. Need new latch mechanism; they used to be cheap before LR nearly tripled the price.

Had the same problem recently and as you've said was the actuator. Was a fairly simple fix with the guide on here - sourcing an actuator was straight forward (£85 ish from Marshall LR) although I'm sure you'll get it cheaper from Yeovil LR - not a problem if WD have it covered! While waiting for the parts I just locked the front door manually from the back and then used the fob as normal.

Thanks Robbie, have since found your advice on other threads in searching on here, I guess the less than£50 has gone up and still a fiddly 2hr job, if so will drop it into the dealers and let WD deal with it Thumbs Up

Thanks
