EU4 injectors in an EU3 engine?

Now, I know they will physically fit, and work in the short term.

But, does anyone know if they will work in an EU3 engine long term, with no issues?

The EU4 setup runs at a higher fuel pressure, and the nozzles are different. That is as much as I know

My injectors will need replaced before the winter hits, as the run rough as Censored when cold. Would be nice to not have to shell out £1800 on a set of injectors Whistle

I have a set of 60k mile EU4 injectors sitting on a shelf, removed from a known good engine

Would be nice to know if they will work with the EU3/Engine Management in case it decides to blow itself up Laughing

The tips, spray pattern, cycle time and injection profile are different so I would be surprised if they worked in an identical manner.

Do you have the Bosch part No.?

If so - Try Unipart -

They managed to locate a set of identical injectors for my dads van for £500 + vat in compared to the £1300+ vat Fiat wanted for the same part.

still significant money but much more tolerable.

Best of luck.

Another Thumbs Up for Turner Diesel in Edinburgh, did my ok for Merc injectors a couple of years ago.

They can inspect, test and repair them as well as source new ones.

I'm with robbie on this one Thumbs Up they may appear to run the same however the fact that eu4 runs higher fuel pressure the fuel may not be atomised correctly in the eu3 engine. It may not be detectable initially but this and the different nozzle spec may result in piston erosion .i have seen this happen on a galaxy that I had the pleasure of repairing some time back .
