Help, CD changer has stopped working
Help. My 2005 Disco 3 HSE's CD changer has stopped working. It tries to play a disc then stops and says invalid disc. Any ideas? Are there any good companies that repair them?

No it doesn't. It makes no noise at all now, so not spinning the disc up.

The CD player on my deceased D3 was giving the same error and I couldn't get the discs out.
It was tricky getting to the top of the drive as the MOST control board is mounted over it. I bent back the controller board mounts to get access:

turning the black cog on the left of the next picture allowed me to raise/lower the disc carrier.

Once aligned, I could move the read mechanism in, which disengaged the movable lug at the top of the spindle. Then, in turn, I was able to remove the discs.
Not guaranteeing anything, but maybe taking out the discs could reset it.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto

Oh. I should add that I'd try a hard reset before the above.Black 05 TDV6 HSE Auto
