Trailer board connectivity/lights issue |
|
I've just fitted a Thule tow bar bike carrier to the D3 and for some reason one of the side lights wouldn't work. Checked all the wiring and that was all in order so in the end I had to piggy back the wire to another and hey bingo all the lights then worked correctly. Thing is when I plugged in a completely different trailer board - everything worked as it should with no faults.
Also, the car is not picking up that there is a 'trailer' attached even though it has done with other trailer boards that I've tried. All the 'trailers' I've attached have standard bulbs not LEDs

Unable to offer any technical help (way beyond my skills), but just to say the electrics and trailer dash light all work perfectly on my box trailer and boat trailer, yet when I use my bike rack (Altera) all the lights work on it just fine, but the dash light only works intermittently and never when turning left.
I should get it looked at but as the lights on the rack are working in my case I'm currently ignoring it
