Low mpg could well be a totally separate fault, binding brakes or something else. No reason why the car couldn't be running multiple faults/problems. Thumbs Up

Good to hear. Thumbs Up

As DSL says, mpg could be lots of things. I'd just start checking various things that could affect it - including your right foot. Laughing

Did you have a long average stored? Mine takes quite a while to settle down.

Only time my mpg had taken such a southwardly dive was binding caliper(s). Can start all of a sudden and be a coincidence with the MAP sensor. Check carefully for wheel or wheels hotter than slightly warm, don't go sticking your fingies through to the discs unless you like getting burnt.

Mine uses a huge amount of fuel when first leaving home, so clearing an average based on a few hundred miles plus can leave it reading much lower for quite a while. Zero it going down a hill and for a minute I've seen 78 mpg.

Well worth checking the wheels though. Thumbs Up
