Been poking about in a friends 2007 Disco 3 HSE. Every so often he gets the dreaded F code and limited gears. Switching off and restarting seems to clear it and it will run on for an hour , a day , a week etc. Then it happens again. Sometimes there is a faint burning smell something like the smell of body filler. Nothing much at all. Anyone else experienced this? Is there a separate gearbox loom and how easy is it to change? I suspect melting plastic
