Just... got back from France

We got back very late yesterday from France having limped home with a suspension problem yesterday.

The 'Suspension Failure' message and orange lamp came on when we were on the autoroute south of Dijon.

Looking at the 4x4 screen the OSR wheel was showing that the wheel had 'dropped' to the bottom. After we stopped and allowed a soft reset and all was fine for a few minutes - the wheel level looked normal. In the end after many stops and starts it appears that everything is okay up to about 60mph but any faster brings on the problem.

However, coming off the Channel Tunnel the fault came up again but this time the suspension dropped and would not raise so we limped to the garage near the Tunnel exit. This time soft resetting did not work and I had to do a hard reset - having searched for a few similar treads...

Fortunately this did work and we were able to get back at <60mph. At least this does wonders for the fuel consumption. 35mpg with bike roof box and a few bottles of wine.

Thanks to the site I was able to get home. Bow down

Now just have to work out how to fix the problem!

Damaged wire in the OSR wheel arch would be favourite, followed by the sensor itself. Both are DIY jobs but the new sensor would need a diagnostic tool to calibrate.

Thanks Robbie. Hopefully it will be a simple fix.

I also need to look at the NSR door which won't unlock and the OSR door which won't lock...

Indeed, so much so I almost have some trepidation for my journey back from France. So far I have only needed fuel and a vacuum to remove half the beach from the interior.

Well like you Robbie, trepidation, made it to Caen ferry, about to board, convinced I have early signs of a bearing growling Rolling Eyes , so once home I'll be inspecting them
