I was washing the D3 today and, this might be dumb, I couldn't get the wipers to stand up on their own...
Basically, in all other cars I've owned, you could pull the wipers away from the screen and they would stay this way. On the D3 they wouldn't pull very far away from the screen, certainly not enough to stay in a vertical position.
Now, short of vaigra , is there a way of making the wipers stay upright or is this a 'feature' I will have to get used to.
Cheers

Thats way it is, surprised me too. The wipers are a bit of an unusual design though, very flexible. They work well but I reckon replacements will be costly.

Found it odd too.
The rear stays off the glass if folded, but the front 2 don't. Bit awkward for washing windscreen. Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles
