brake pad check is still on |

hi everyone.
i have a 2008 diesel 2.7 ,i have changed the rear pads,but the "check brake pads" still comes up.do you think it may be a brokern wear sensor.any suggestions please

If the light was showing before you replaced the pads, then you need to replace the sensor.
Or you can do away with it by connecting the two wires together. However, this does mean you no longer have any indication of when the pads need replacing.

Or, as in my case, it was actually the front pads throwing up the warning.
The rears were on their way out anyway... 2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

The same thing happened to me, I thought only the rears were gone - I changed to Brembos in the front and V8s rear, but didn't change the front sensor only the rear one. 2007 D3 2.7 SE Automatic

i have checked the fronts and ok so i think it should be just the rear.thanks for the suggestion
