Can InControl Apps be retrofitted to pre-2015 models ?
Hello all,
I have a 2014 Disco and recently learnt that the 2015 model year will have the InControl Apps feature (interfaced with iphones).
Does anyone know if this could be retrofitted/updated for pre-2015 models, please ?
Hope that is should be only a software issue ; if it is a hardware one, could be more complicated.

I hope the same, but am afraid that it will be more than a laptop upload.....
Maybe someone with more LR knowledge can shed?? a light...

Sorry but In Control cannot currently be retrofitted.

Speaking as a total non-techie but probably too early to ask the question as the cars aren't out there yet. Once they are and the resident boffins (they know who they are) start stripping the cars physically and electronically then it'll be possible to answer the question. Ask anyone at LR and of course they'll say "no", but that's the company line and may or may not be true.

InControl and D4
Well - just been giving the 'official' news from my Dealer as my final specification date was today.
He said that the InControl option for the D4 does NOT include any of the remote features (i.e. the Secure, Remote, WiFi or SOS). So there are no additional buttons by the interior lights for SOS or contacting LR Assist, no automatic contacting them in event of an accident and no fancy app that can tell us where we parked the car and if it is locked, or has sufficient fuel left to reach the nearest petrol station.
What we do get is the InControl App function, which currently is the list of half a dozen or so apps that can be integrated with the touch screen from the phones.
He also agreed that it can't be retro-fitted. And it is £350
