I've already gone through 2 x standard jacks, now use an air jack with a compressor for wheel changes (roads to muds) & standard one is for emergency use only. Also the wheel wrench is total cr*p, broken 2 as well!

Had a nail stuck in one of my rear tyres and local ATS/Euromaster were not keen to use their jack in case they damaged the suspension.
Rather than get LRA out I got them on the phone and they were really helpful. They talked the garage through the proceedure and use of cars own jack.
Essentially, we were told to lock the suspension in access height and then use the cars own jack. It seemed to work fine much to the obvious relief of the mechanic who I think was worried about a potential big claim for damaged suspension should anything have gone wrong.

Over the past year I have had 5 tyres replaced due to wear and punctures. Both at ATS and Tyrecraft here in Liverpool the fitters were entirely diligent in consulting their manuals, and both companies told me to raise the suspension to off road setting and have the hazard warning lights on. I was quite suprised how insistent they were in doing this, and also how consistent they also were in their policy every time I had to replace the tyres.

This is all very good info but how the b y hell do I swap the wheels.....access height locked, trolly jack and axle stand is what I guessed but........D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Like the look of the air bag lift system - which one is it, where from and how much ?
But the position of the axle stand in the photo ....? Is that the right place (ie - nowhere near the axle )Disco 4 TDV6HSE

Changed mine a few times.
Offroad height as per the manual, hi lift trolly jack (got one from machine mart, 3t and lifts to 540mm I think £40'ish) and an axle stand to pop under the chassis rail just in case the jack starts to lower

Stand look to be under the chassis rail. That's where i put mine just in case the jack starts to lower of its own accord.
