Disconnecting battery on MY12 D4 |
|
I need to disconnect the battery on my MY12 D4 to start removing the Winch and its wiring.
on the D3 it was just a case of disconnect and Happy Days, but the D4 I think needs to go through some sort of disconnection process using IDS.
Q : can I just disconnect the battery and reconnect when Im done ?
Q : what will be the effect if I do that, will the car throw errors that I can reset with the Faultmate FCR
thanks Duncan

popped mine off and on a few times without needing any voodoo dolls.
but if fitting a new one then some wizardry is performed It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

I've disconnected mine before and the only things I did on reconnection was to reset the clock and I think the Sat Nav (it had reverted to Belgium or somewhere) so I had to do that also Cheers Ian

In that case it may need a Window Reset, it's in the book
