At Last (Try Again) !!!!

Well, we've had some trials and tribulations on this one (not the car or dealer Razz ) but tomorrow is finally the day.

We pick up our D4 SDV6 HSE and say goodbye after ten years to our trusty old D2 TD5

Shan't sleep tonight Rolling with laughter

Now the pestering starts Thumbs Up

Just a couple of queries, been having a good play with the new motor (awesome !! 2011MY HSE SDV6) and loving the gadgets. Found the off-road setting on the sat-nav (brilliant) and the MP3 player ability (HK Logic 7 Premium System was fitted Bow down ) but couple of puzzles.

Looked under the bonnet and have definitely got the Webasto heater unit fitted ( left hand side just in front of battery) but there seems to be no way to switch it on. Whats the crack with this Question
the lights fitted are xenon dipped plus halogen high with adaptive facility and I have the led 'fairy lights' around the light clusters but they only seem to operate as side-lights rather than daytime running lights. Is this the way they operate ?

Your collective wisdom would be much appreciated (and photos WILL follow when I come down off the new-owner cloud Laughing )

Unless the park heater was specified from the factory it will only have the facility to work automatically IE When the temperature is low enough, if you want timed heating you can get this turned on in the settings by somebody with a Nanocom or similar you can also add a remote function, a lot of sponsors can do this for you.

The 'fairy' lights are only sidelamps they are not DRL's If you have DRL function turned on it will use the dipped headlamps and the fairy lights unfortunately.
 Cheers Ian

So the heater will work but only when the temperature drops sufficiently Thumbs Up

At least it's not just an ornament then.

Shame about the lights, I fancied having those Daytime Lamps on, never mind, thanks for the info (might look at getting the heater timer enabled sometime when I have my Nanocom upgraded Thumbs Up )
