| Signature Lights on 2011 D4 GS |

Hi,
I know it's been done to death and the general opinion is that the GS doesn't have the leds fitted etc.I was driving down the a14 recently and caught a 13 plate commercial d4 but looked gs spec and the signature led lights in the headlights were working which makes we wonder if it is now possible?

If you get hold of a set of xenons they are a straight swap, and have the signature LEDs TD4 Freelader ES
TD5 Defender 90 Tombraider LE
TD4 Freelander Kalahari
Another TD5 Defender 90 Tombraider LE

Thanks spb, i'm guessing that the xenon headlights are massively expensive from LR, do i need it get them "switched on" aswell? Anyone got a part number?

You will need them enabled on a D4
Mine are full adaptive, part numbers AH22-13W029 and AH22-13W030 TD4 Freelader ES

Speak with Paul Champion who has been dealing with me and knows the application well.
Note that these are MY13 lights, not MY14. I have not seen MY14 on general sale yet.
My understanding is that they will work, but will flicker on startup until you get them activated...

Robbo770 has fitted MY14 lights as part of his front end upgrade to his D3.
I know he had to make some electrical mods to get them working properly. TD4 Freelader ES

Thanks , not too bad for OE brand new, i've been doing some searches and found that some people had tech problems fitting xenon lights to MY12 onwards but hopefully mine being a MY11 should be ok

Mine is MY12, so will post back when they get delivered this week and let you know if they work out of the box.
This was by far the lowest price I can find without going direct to Valeo... Justin

Xenons won't work at all unless enabled on a D4.
They will flicker on a D3 if not activated. TD4 Freelader ES

I have seen a lot of posts both ways on this, but not seen anything from anyone who has implemented Xenons on a GS.
Have you installed these spb? I think I am reading that you have adaptive, which my understanding was also that these behave very differently to standard Xenons.
If you have and they had to be enabled, who enabled them for you? Justin

Yes I have installed Xenons on my XS.
I enabled them myself, I have both an iiD tool and an MSV 2.
I have also tried them with the setting 'not enabled' and the xenons fail to come on. TD4 Freelader ES

There are not any Halogen lights with signature strip listed here, only Xenon with LED, Xenon with LED adaptive, Halogen no LED.
However, I did notice on ebay there is a set listed as Halogen with LED.
