| D3 Centre Console Status Lamps Unreadble in Daylight |

Hi All,
I've had my 2008 D3 for around three weeks now so we're still getting to know each other, but one thing that has become obvious in these summer months (weeks...) is that in anything other than semi or complete darkness, the status lamps for the suspension height, terrain selector and transmission range are pretty much unreadable.
Has anyone got any hints or tips on how to rejuvenate or replace these lamps? Ideally with something 10 times brighter 
I've located and fiddled with the backlight control btw - it's definitely turned all the way up

Never bothered me as it will flash up on the info display in front of you what setting your in.
