It's a pity that What Car reckon that "It feels sluggish" compared to the others, "has too much body sway" compared to the others "too much wind noise" compared to the others and "Reliablity still a concern". I have only driven a couple of D3's but I didn't notice anymore wind noise than either my FFRR Td6 made or my RRS makes now or felt the reliablity was a concern. I would agree with the sluggish performance especially when pulling away from a junction, but having owned a TD6 FFRR the Disco is positively lively compared to that. What car also levelled the same criticism at the RRS regarding slugishnes, they obviously haven't long term driven either car as they would know that that shortcoming is easy to overcome!
I think that the final comment about reliability is not founded these days, but just that one comment unfortunately is probably enough to put a few people off buying one. Strange that if it is an unreliable vehicle What Car have made D3 their Large 4x4 of the Year for 3 years running ................................... odd standards somewhere! Now a disillusioned new Land Rover buyer and have jumped ship to something less expensive and more reliable that hugs trees.... now driving a Mini Countryman PHEV as well as my trusty and brilliant 1996 Epsom Green Defender90 Tdi300
