Headlamp gone, but no message

Noticed things were a bit dim tonight and sure enough nearside headlight gone, but was surprised there wasn't a warning message.......am I expecting too much from a MY2008 Land Rover? Iggy/Ieuan

I was shocked when I found out there was no light out warning..how often do we see our own brake lights? Yup plod kindly informed me the only one working was the high level one. My 1990 525i gave a detailed description of which bulb was out..come to think of it, even a mk 2 golf let me know I had at least one bulb out 3 Flash Indicators

GVIF & Reverse Camera
D4 Bluetooth
EGR's Blanked
