Brake squeal is driving me crazy. It happens almost constantly at low speeds - very annoying and embarrassing. I can understand it on a sports car, but it's not expected on a vehicle like this. Dealer says that it is common and they can't do anything. I did a search, but only found a TSB no: LA206-002 (Rear Brake Noise) and refers to VIN: 5A300167-6A357844. I don't know if it's only from the rear wheels or not. Anyone else have frequent brake squeal at low speeds?

Mine went in for the same problem two weeks ago. According to the dealer it was simply a matter of cleaning and checking the complete brake assembly. Quiet as anything now. Good luck...

Thanks. I might break down and do it - even if I bear the cost.

Try oiling the brake pads...just kidding. Mine does it too. I thought it was just me, but it must be a common problem. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!

Unfortunately it is a common problem - there are several threads that refer to it.

Glad it's not just me then. Mine started about a month ago and has gradually got quieter though.

I had exactly the same problem and after three trips to dealer and application of copperslip to alleviate the irritating noise, they decided to replace the rear pads. Only charged me for the parts which was a bonus - and to cap it all it solved the problem too!
May not be the sort of "fix" we would like, but at least it worked! D3 05 SE (old one)
RRS 08 SE (new one)

I may have to have a listen and see if I can discern whether the squeal is coming from the rear brakes only. Thanks.

I jet washed mine- simply drowned the noise (after cleaning the brakes, cleaning them a second time, copperslip etc). "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
