Land Rover Rear Seat Waterproof Seat Covers
HELP.
I've bought these to help protect the seats from our 2 year who still insists on being sick in the car.
I've managed to get the back rest parts onto the 3 seats without a problem.
I can't however reasonably fathom out how to get the seat base covers to fit on. Choosing any one of the 3 doesn't seem to fit properly. The nearest one I've got to fit fits OK at the front and down the sides, but no way will it fit around the 'hinge' section or the seat-belt area.
Anyone mastered these yet and can offer some help, PLEASE... Coffeecup

I haven't tried fitting the rear ones yet, I'll have a go when I get a few minutes to spare

Made an attempt at this.
Found the Centre back seat cover fits well ---- except that it covers over the Seat Belt completely and renders it unavailable. Shame the Instruction Picture shows the Centre Seat with the Seat belt (and it's little Turret) available after the cover is.
Still, I seem to have covered over most of the original seats for the moment, hopefully someone else will be able to tell me the proper way later. Coffeecup

These seat covers are a to get on but fit well once done properly. You can tell the middle seat cover for the base as it has a little hole for the seatbelt to go through. Unfortunately you have to get an LR dealer to detach the seatbelt to loop it through otherwise it is rendered useless.Disco 3 TDV6HSE Cairns blue auto

I can see the solution I will take is to take a pair of sissors to the back of the seat cover (boot side) and cut it end to end and then join it back up with a zip. What a St*pid design - who is going to pop into their dealers to get them to remove the seatbelt so you can wash the covers and then get the dealer to put it all back together again.
"Just a little thought goes a long way", and the person who designed these seat covers has wandered way off course. Coffeecup

I was astonished to see that the centre seat cover renders the seatbelt useless. I had this problem when I bought a set of covers in January. I took them back to the dealer, who established that it was a manufacturing fault and that LR were withdrawing all stocks of the old covers. Correct covers were to be manufactured. After a few months I gave up waiting for the new ones and the dealer refunded my money. BTW, I couldn't work out how to fit the seat base covers. I assume you bought the covers recently? Get your money back from the dealer, or a replacement -assuming the new versions are in stock now.

Didn't read your message Gilmorr until now, as been away on holiday.
Made do with the seat covers as they were, and looking at them now they seem to have done a good job of protecting the seats (2 weeks worth of spills and mess from 2 children). I don't think LR Dealer will take them back now (well used) so I'll just get on and modify them as I had planned, though I will ask when I'm next passing the dealers. Coffeecup
