New warranty
Does anyone know if it is possible to take out a warranty for a D3 or 4 if it has been out of warranty already?
I'm considering buying a D3 or D4 privately and therefore won't have a garage/dealer warranty. Just wondering if i can buy a warranty (eg from Direct Warranty, CarCare) even though the car might not have any warranty at the point I start the new cover? I know it will need a service history, etc.
Thanks,
Ben

You can get one from warranty direct
About £600 a year
I bought mine private not full history and that's what I was quoted
So I put the money in an isa and it's building slowly
Chance you take I suppose
Good luck either way with what you choose

You cant make a claim in the first 12 weeks if the car holds no warranty i believe. Am sure that was the case with WD. To be fair they have always paid out, wheel bearing, alternator, egr valve.James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

And your car must have been serviced in the past year to get full protection from Warranty Direct; it does not have to have a full service history. Once on cover you must follow your vehicle manufacturer's recommended intervals.
