FBH fault code: 22 Reference resistance wrong |
|
Hi all,
Please be gentle - RRS owner asking for help
I've got an error message coming up in the Webasto software when trying to fire up the FBH but I have no idea what the issue might be and can't find anything via Google.
It's starting up OK (pumps whirr etc) but, before firing up, drops into the cool down cycle after showing a 22h error "Reference resistance is wrong".
I've asked over at the RRS forum without luck so thought I'd try over here as you all seems to be more knowledgeable with the FBH.
Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Sounds like the FBH glow plug may be shot as that would register an impedance ( resistance ) fault.
My disclaimer is I'm not an expert on all things FBH related but that's where my money lies.
Have you tried removing the relevant fuses to reset the FBH or even purging it via the software? Mods:

Makes sense, Narpy.
Does anyone have or can point me at a guide to stripping down the FBH - I read that the glow plug can get coated in crud and this may be a simple cleaning solution...

Perfect - thanks Steve.
Question is can I risk doing it now or shall I wait for our overdue baby to arrive first? Might not be wise to have the car in pieces at the moment

You could whip it out and join the 2 coolant pipes together if you wish but............if I was you I'd leave well alone until after the little one arrives
Hope all goes well, congrats on your forthcoming (over due ) event, best wishes to you both.
