Switching off my FBH

My journey to work is so short that even with the FBH my D3 stays cold all the way. I park the car and walk away but the FBH is still going and using my precious diesel to heat an empty car. Same on the way home. Fuel consumption in winter seemed worse and the FBH may be partly responsible. On longer trips I can wait for the car to warm up and don't really need the FBH. Is there an easy way to switch it off?

The FBH shouldn't be running unless ambient temperature is under 6 deg C: www.disco3.co.uk/fbh

To disable it you can remove the main power plug to it, or the fuse shown under the "Resetting" section in the page linked to above.

The FBH will still run but it will be on cool down for a few minutes before shutting down completely. They do not run on just to heat the vehicle after you have switched off the ignition.

The fbh will run for a few minutes after switching off as said.
Would it be worth considering a remote fbh controller (Pete's excellent device or similar) ? - get the car up to operating temp before you leave, then even on a short journey car would be more efficient and warm, might even save a bit of juice as well as keeping the fbh in good order.
