Off to Poland Tomorrow!
Taking the D3 on a road trip.
Bowness on Windermere - Dover - Dunkirk - Belgium - Netherlands - Germany - Zabrze, Poland.
Usually fly, but want to take the dog and having the car there will be good for exploring.
Family have been there for a month, so will just be me, Monty and some loud tunes!
Will be keeping a log of fuel receipts and price paid, so I can work out fuel cost. Hoping for £450 (expecting £500), both ways, not including the exploring in Poland. Will be tanking it in France as cheaper than Germany!

have a nice one
most cases i drive home it takes a bit over 500 both ways (excluding ferry/tunnel) but that is sticking to 85MPH+ most of the time in Germany so it drinks
nice drive and i like our M4 motorway and Polish speed limit on ti which is 140km/h
try golonko with nice cold beer and chleb ze smalcem...

I was in Poland in February and loved it, the roads have got a lot better. The food is excellent especially the steaks. It makes our meat look and taste very bad, food and drink is so cheap money is hard to spend.
Weather will be great right now, just take care with the Policja who like to come out in fine weather and can be strict on speed. Am sure know all this already just wish it was me going. Get a few pics up when you get there, enjoy

one more thing we do drive on the wrong side of the road as well
so be careful especially on roundabouts as not too many Poles know how to manage them well lol

Yes Golonka is good! Quite like it with a Tyskie! Will be off to Zakopane for a few days too, usually go there in the winter, but it is beautiful in the Summer!
As for the steaks, I agree the cooking in Polish restaurants is great and the value for money is far beyond anything in the UK! Mother in law does some wonderful dishes too, so D3 might not be as economical on the way home!!
